For driving directions from BHM to CIS, follow the signs to I-20 West/I-59 South and then follow the directions From the East on I-20 [Atlanta/BHM Airport] above.

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the world's busiest passenger airport, is located 150 miles east of Birmingham and is approximately a 2 hour, 15 minute drive from UAB. With nearly 2,000 flights daily on 25 airlines to locations throughout the country and the world, ATL can be a convenient and cost-saving alternative to flying into BHM. Once at ATL, you may rent a car from one of the 11 car rental agencies serving the airport. To get to CIS from ATL, follow signs leaving the airport to I-285 North.
