UAB CIS finishes 1st and 2nd in AL/MS Subregional!

On October 25th, 2008, the UAB Drakes (Yu Chang, Dan Mondy, Robert Cloud) and the UAB Hydras (Jeff Frees, Eric Frees, Patrick Butler) both delivered record-breaking performances at the regional ACM Programming Competition. In the Alabama/Mississippi subregion, the Drakes took first place, and the Hydras took second in a field of approximately 20 teams. Across the entire region (Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida), the teams took 5th and 13th places, both of which are better than any previous performance by any UAB team. Congratulations!
