CSTA Roadshow hosted by Google

On May 29-30, the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA) organized the first "Outreach Roadshow Worskhop" at Google from support by the National Science Foundation. The purpose of the Roadshow Workshop was to bring together those throughout North America who are engaged in K-12 outreach. Specifically, the Roadshow focused on sharing experiences among those who visit schools to provide presentations about computer science. Over 40 participants from various backgrounds attended the 2-day event at theGoogleplex in Mountain View, California.

One of the attendees was CIS Associate Professor Jeff Gray, who has been visiting schools throughout Alabama since 2006 to promote awareness of computer science.

More information about the event is discussed in a blog.
