NSF funds Microarray Research Project in CIS Department

The National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded a research grant (entitled "imArray-An Automated High-Performance Microarray Scanner Software Package for Microarray Image Analysis") to the CIS Department in the amount of $250,748. This three year grant will support research into the development of a comprehensive data and information management environment for microarray image analysis and microarray data mining from multi-modalities such as images and literatures.

The Principal Investigator on this grant will be Dr. Chengcui Zhang. Her PhD students, Wei-Bang Chen and Richa Tiwari, will be supporting Dr. Zhang in this research.
