The Birmingham Community Concert Band performed a program of holiday music at Brookdale Place at University Park retirement community in Homewood, Sunday, December 21, 2008. The band is made up of volunteer musicians, amateur to professional, ranging in age from teens to the 80's. They play four concerts from January to November with 4 to 5 holiday concerts in December alone. A group of approximately 50 residents and guests attended Sunday's performance.
