(Web Site) Abstract
In this chapter we are interested in employing crisp simulation
methods using (a) conventional package(s) to perform fuzzy
calculations that involve (restricted) fuzzy arithmetic. The main
fuzzy application employs (fuzzy) arrival/service rates to model a
(fuzzy) queuing system for web design. We first review fuzzy
calculations and then present our simulation results. The
simulation results confer on us a great ``speed-up" of going from
initial data collection to the optimization models for web
research. These results imply that crisp simulation might be
useful in doing fuzzy calculations in other fuzzy models. We
continue this topic in the next chapter where we employ fuzzy
probabilities in the model.
