MPI

• We are leading participants in the Message Passing Interface Standards 
  (The MPI-1 and MPI-2 Standards) 
   
• Widely known middleware from our group is 
  The Argonne/MSU Model Implementation of MPI (MPICH) 
   
• We've continued to standardize and develop next-generation message passing middleware. Dr. Anthony Skjellum is co-chair of The Real-Time Message Passing Interface Forum (MPI/RT) and also co-chair of the DARPA Data Reorganization Standard (DATA REORG) 
   

SAN network protocol and standards-based math middleware 

• Dr. Skjellum was co-chair of the BLAIS sub-committee of The BLAS Technical Forum 
   
• We have developed neat technologies for hierarchical matrix operations, including Basic Linear Algebra Instruction Set (BLAIS) technology, and efficient Morton-ordering approaches to non-dyadic matrices. See "Lab-hero" under this URL. 
   
• We participate in this middleware effort as well: 
  Vector Signal Image Processing Standard (VSIPL)
