======================================================================== HOMEWORKs Simulation, Modeling and Animations Summer 2005 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is DRAFTy ... We will prob'ly have no need to un-draft it ... ======================================================================== All projects come with attached I-PMRD-A reports ... I means Introduction ... you use it if you just can't help chatting about the nature of the problem, etc. It can be skipped. Recall we want snappy P statements that represent what YOU are doing ... numbered text being recommended, e.g., expectations laid out, etc. PROMPT turn in is required ... You have one day grace period ... Otherwise, you experience a penalty set at such a level that if you continue to be late, you will suffer a letter-grade demotion! ======================================================================== HW 4 - Due Date: July 15, 2005. ======================================================================== For fun --- we recommend you do this a group task 1-3 students, without prior approval) unless you are "Macho Man" or "Macha Woman" --- ("Macha" is prob'ly NOT a word ... but YOU know what I mean -- prove'g once again, it is NOT what you say that counts, it's what you MEAN! M' man or M' woman does it alone! ONE WU is all we need! 1. Write a .psf file and let it demo, say, your source code, the .lis (and any ".otp" and .csv) output ... while driving an (output) .atf against a presumed prior .lay 2. Embed your .psf file in a .ppt present'n which adds "something" 3. Reverse this ... Let the .psf house a .ppt ... while it (the former) adds "value" and .ppt does the "examinations" assigned to .psf in 1. ======================================================================== HW5 - Due Date: July 22, 2005 ======================================================================== Provide the Introduction and Purpose statements, at a minimum, for YOUR FINAL PROJECT My thinking is that you might have a PLAN for the ANIMATION itself, with "details" to be filled in later. Such is PERFECT! You can in- complete, sketchy ... And, indeed, we ask NEXT week for more detail If possible, sketch what you think might be METHODs "Issues" (MI) .. At this time, these METHOD issues might just state what you think could a problem for YOU, and by inference, any students in this class! When you've solved the problem, you'll think there are NO "MI" And, both your beloved professor & all esteemed fellow students will be deprived of a "learning experience'" (possible pun intended!) ======================================================================== HW6 - Due Date: July 29, 2005 aka Aug -3, 2005 ======================================================================== Following up ... tell us things like: 1. Do you have a .psf or .ppt outline in your head or on paper or as a framework, "on machine" 2. How (what way) is Excel is going to serve your plan ... Gotta do "somethin'" 3. How is there going to be outputs (statistics or summaries of same) --- perhaps coordinated with inputs that affect them
