Special Activities

Carol Burt is President and CEO of 2AB, a specialist in “Trusted Solutions for Distributed Business”. Carol has been working in the development of software solutions for distributed computing for over twenty years. Her technical background is in design and development of distributed computing middleware and software protocol converters. Her projects have included design and development of secure integration middleware for PC, UNIX proprietary mid-range and mainframes using a variety of programming languages. Carol has held numerous leadership positions in the Object Management Group (OMG) community, as a member of the architecture board, the press advisory board and as a Task Force chair. In her role at 2AB she oversees the development of security standards. Prior to founding 2AB in 1997, Carol headed a research and development group responsible for distributed computing at BellSouth Telecommunications.
